Who we are

Concepts of Commerce is a tutoring practice run by A.C. Gupta, teaching Accountancy and Economics to Class XI and XII students.

What this website collects

There are only two things, and most visitors give us neither.

1. The enquiry form. When you fill it in, you give us the student’s name, a phone number, and optionally an email address, the class and subject you are asking about, and whatever you write in the message.

2. A student account, if A.C. Gupta has created one for you. That holds your name, your email address, a scrambled version of your password, and which classes you are in. Nothing else. There is no way to sign up yourself — accounts are only ever made for students he actually teaches.

We do not record which pages anyone visits, or what they download.

What this website does not do

This is worth stating plainly, because many sites cannot:

• No analytics. We do not measure visits, pages, or how long you stay.
• No tracking. No advertising pixels, no Google or Facebook tags, no cross-site tracking of any kind.
• No advertising, and your details are never sold, rented or shared for marketing.
• Almost no cookies. There are two in total. One remembers that you have signed in — A.C. Gupta to the administration area, or a student to their account. The other appears only if you type a student access code, and records nothing except which set of material you unlocked.
• No record of what you read. We do not log which pages you open or which files you download, for students and visitors alike.
• Fonts and images come from this site, not from another company’s servers — so simply reading a page does not tell anyone else that you did.

Where your enquiry goes

The form is delivered by Web3Forms, which passes the message to our email inbox. Their systems keep a copy for 30 days and then delete it.

The email itself arrives in our inbox. We delete enquiry emails after 12 months.

Since 30 August 2026 we also keep a copy on this website’s own database, so that A.C. Gupta can see which enquiries he has answered rather than relying on an inbox. That copy holds what you typed into the form — the student’s name, your phone number, and the email address, class, subject and message if you gave them — along with a note of what stage your enquiry has reached.

It is kept on the same server as the rest of this site, is readable only after signing in as the administrator, and is deleted on request, immediately and permanently. Email acgupta@outlook.com and ask.

Students under 18

Most of the people this site is for are aged roughly 16 to 18.

• We ask for a name, a phone number and an email so that we can reply to an enquiry about tutoring. Nothing more.
• We do not profile students, track their behaviour, or show them advertising.
• If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian before sending us your details.
• A parent or guardian may ask at any time what we hold about their child, and ask us to delete it. We will.

Student accounts

If you have an account, you can see everything held about you at any time on your account page after signing in — it is a short list, because there is very little.

You or a parent may ask for the account to be deleted, at any time and without giving a reason. Email acgupta@outlook.com. Deleting it removes the name, the email address and the class memberships completely — nothing is kept back.

Your first password is chosen for you and passed on in person or by message, so it is worth changing it to one only you know. Your account page has a form for that.

Student access codes

Some material here is for current students. Rather than asking you to make an account, we give your class a short code. You type it once and your browser remembers it.

A code is not an account, and using one tells us nothing about you. We do not learn your name, your email address, or that you visited. The only thing stored is a note in your own browser saying which set of material you unlocked. Clearing your browser’s data removes it, and you can simply enter the code again.

Where the information is kept

This website runs on Hostinger’s servers in India. Hostinger keeps its backups in Singapore, so a copy of the site and its database is held outside India.

Asking us to remove your information

Write to acgupta@outlook.com and you can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct anything that is wrong, or delete it. We will do so within a reasonable time and will not ask you to justify the request.

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect, we will change this page and update the date at the top.
